Cancer Research Open Day at Queen’s University Belfast

Staff from the Northern Ireland Biobank took part in the first Cancer Research Open Day at Queen’s University Belfast, hosted by the Centre for Cancer Research & Cell Biology on Saturday 9th May. This event attracted hundreds of visitors of all ages and allowed members of the public to see at first-hand how researchers in Belfast are helping to combat this devastating disease.

Northern Ireland Biobank welcomed the opportunity to give short tours of the biobank facility and explain how the biobank is working for the better health of patients by underpinning the advancement of translational cancer research through the provision of high quality human tissue samples to local researchers.
